I am a Unitarian Universalist Minister in Bend, Oregon, where I serve the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon (“Central Oregon” means that folks come to church on Sunday morning from towns all around Bend, including Sisters, Sunriver, Prineville, Redmond, even as far away as Burns, which is three hours southeast. The closest Unitarian Universalist church to ours to the east is in Idaho. Idaho!)

I was until recently the Central Oregon Field Organizer for Basic Rights Oregon, our statewide advocacy group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Oregonians. We are working on passing a statewide law in 2007 which will ban discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, and will recognize the partnerships of same-sex couples. There's lot of work to be done. The new Central Oregon Field Organizer is awesome and I’m so glad that there is someone else stepping forward to energetically take on this work! I also work occasionally for the hospital here in town and in Redmond as an on-call chaplain.

I enjoy hiking, writing, reading, live music, recorded music, laughing, and trying new restaurants. I like driving to Portland through this beautiful state to visit my family and friends there. I'm grateful to be alive.
